CEO / Counsellor / Clinical Supervision

Joyce is a senior accredited member of The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and abides by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professionals. She is also an Accredited Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Practitioner and a Clinical Supervision. Joyce is a BUPA recognised counselling provider ans is also in private practice.

Joyce works mainly with adults and adolescents. She has additional training in Solution Focus Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), including CBT trauma work, Brain Spotting (BSP) and uses these models alongside my client focused practice. Since 2006, Joyce has worked within the NHS, Third sector, Employee Assisted Programs (EAP) including West Midland Police, QEHB staff counselling, and counselling at education establishments including; providing schools with behaviour group work therapy programmes and Mental Health Mentoring at universities.

Along with her Clinical Supervisory practice, she supervise counsellors in Suicide Awareness and prevention with their clients. Joyce has experience working with a wide range of mental health and emotional difficulties, such as PTSD, trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, OCD, bereavement, relationship difficulties, work related stress, domestic violence, post-natal depression, pain management and sexual abuse.

Joyce utilizes her (EMDR) practice to treat any trauma or Post Traumatic Stress symptoms however EMDR and BSP is also helpful for strengthening and building resilience and helping you to overcome the blockages and stuck-ness you may face in your life.
